Executive Assistant & Grant Specialist

Diatre Padilla serves as Executive Assistant & Grant Specialist at the Policy & Innovation Center, providing executive and project support while coordinating grant and RFP opportunities across PIC’s portfolio of regional initiatives. His work includes supporting organizational leadership, managing complex workflows and stakeholder communications, and helping advance funding opportunities that strengthen PIC’s research, partnerships, and community impact.

Before joining PIC, he worked as an independent nonprofit and grants consultant and held administrative, executive support, and program coordination roles across the nonprofit, education, and legal sectors. His experience encompasses grant management, organizational development, governance, program implementation, executive operations, and cross-sector collaboration, with work supporting organizations focused on housing, homelessness, education, family stability, behavioral health, youth development, and violence prevention.

Diatre holds a B.A. in Urban Studies from Columbia University, where he specialized in Sociology and studied the relationships among urban development, public policy, institutions, and inequality. His interdisciplinary background informs his interest in the structural conditions shaping opportunity and community well-being, as well as his commitment to strengthening institutional capacity and improving cross-sector collaboration.
